In the simplest of terms, Power of attorney (POA) or General Power of Attorney (GPA) is a document empowering a specified person to act for and in the name of the person executing it. It’s quite common in the real estate sector to use a POA for all kinds of property transactions i.e. buying, selling, mortgaging, leasing etc.
